Pressing leaves: a nature collage afternoon
Preschool and Pre-K children pressed ferns and leaves into collages, learning about patterns, texture and patience.

This week, Lucia set up a long table in the atelier with sticky paper, twine, scissors and a basket of leaves and ferns gathered from the garden.
Children chose their own materials and layouts. Some arranged leaves by colour, others made animals, and one group built a tiny forest with a path through the middle.
The finished collages are now hanging in the hallway. Stop by at pick-up and see if you can find your child’s.
